There is a long tradition of choral singing in Estonia. Music, especially singing, has always played an important role in the sense of togetherness among Estonians. 

Composers like Arvo Pärt and Veljo Tormis shaped the musical development of the 20th century far beyond the borders of Estonia and made a name for themselves worldwide. It is also worth taking a look at the work of Mart Saar, Ester Mägi, Urma Sisask and Peep Sarapik.

Pärt Uusberg's music is currently an important nucleus of the contemporary development of Estonian compositions.

Would you like to found a choir and have taken over the management of a new ensemble?

In the basic workshop choral conducting, you will learn everything you need to lead a choir to success musically and organizationally. The basic workshop takes place over two days on a weekend with a duration of 12 hours. (Individual arrangements are possible)

The course program includes:

Conducting techniques
Give bets
Body language / posture / presence
Ear training
Basics of harmony teachers and metrics
